Funky Monkey Smoothie |
a 4 day trip to Cashiers, NC where we swam...
kayaked...
hiked...
climbed...
spent time with friends...
swung...
then dropped off Oliver at camp...
So, when we got home, major nutrition was called for!!!
My daughter loves making smoothies and decided to make one of her favorites, the Funky Monkey smoothie, which is adapted from one of our favorite smoothies called the 'Pooh Bear Smoothie' at the Laughing Seed in Asheville!
Funky Monkey Smoothie
1 1/2 cups almond milk
1 banana
2 tbsp peanut butter (unsweetened)
Healthy squirt of honey
1 scoop Sun Warrior Chocolate powder (32 grams of protein!)
Ice cubes
2 stalks of kale
Blend it in blender until smooth and enjoy! Packed with protein, potassium, iron, vitamin C, and other antioxidants, this is the perfect way to start your day!!!
